Cenote Tour

Descend into the womb of Mother Earth and enter a labyrinth of endless passageways formed by ageless geological processes. Walk and swim an easy 600-meter route amidst the thousands of calcified stalactites and stalagmites found in this protected natural reserve. Be transformed by this ancient, magical subterranean world that until now has remained unexplored for millions of years.

Please note that this tour requires walking on uneven ground and will be underground, so if you have trouble walking or fear of smaller spaces, we recommend selecting a different activity.

The group will be picked up at the resort at 8:30 AM. Upon arrival to Rio Secreto you will meet at reception to pick up your equipment before embarking on the hour and a half tour. After the tour, you will be transferred back to the resort and return to the resort by 1:00 PM.

What to bring: Wear bathing suit, comfortable walking shoes

A wet suit, wet shoes, a helmet with a light, and towels will be provided.

Times may change slightly, but this is a general outline of the day:

• 8:30 am Pick-up at hotel
• 9:00 am Arrive at the nature reserve followed by showing a video
• 9:10 am to 09:30 am Transfer in Vans at the entrance to Rio Secreto
• 9:30 am to 09:45 am Reception of the equipment
• 10:00 – 11:30 am Tour Rio Secreto
• 11:45 am Transfer back to take your transportation at the parking area
• 12:15 pm Departure from the parking area
• 1:00 pm Estimated Drop off at the hotel

Resort Credit - $150

Please remember that you can opt out of the Cenote Tour activity and select Resort Credit in the registration process. The additional $150 in resort credit can be used at the hotel for any food and beverage spend at the restaurants or bars, additional treatments offered at the hotel, or to extend your stay an additional night.
